    Introduction

In this section I will outline in more detail than can be found on my resume information about my education. This will Including certificates of completion, courses taken, transcript, and information about the places where I gained my education. The information will be presented in reverse chronological order.

    Winter 2001 Work Term

I was back home in Pinawa working at AECL. I took my education into my own hands. I studied the internet to learn more on UNIX, shell scripting, Java Sound API, Windows Programing (WIN32 API), and Direct X (7/8). In addition I traveled to the city of Winnipeg to continue my study of Kung-Fu at the Wu-Ti school. Also in the city I started a program at Precusor Studios to learn more about MIDI and electron music and all the various elements associated with the genre.

    The University of Waterloo

    Honours Co-op Computer Science

In the summer of the year 2000 I was accepted into to the faculty of mathematic at the University of Waterloo. See how they had such an excellent co-op program I quickly made my decision to attend Waterloo. I completed my frist term at waterloo in good standing, and I must say learned at lot. I took the standard honours math courses in algebra and calculus. I was enroled in advanced Computer Science (CS) and greatly enjoy my first course in the subject. As electives I picked physics and music.

At the university I added to my academic career with many social pursuits. From joining the various on campus clubs that interested me, I also did work for MathSOC as a DJ--including a event during frosh week when I was a frosh. All around my experience at Waterloo has been great and I look forward to complete my BMath.

In addition I've been accepted in to the Digital Hardware Option for my second term of study which means I will gain a ground in CS and Computer Engineering.

    Pinawa Secondary High School

Pinawa Secondary is arguably the best place in North America to get a public education. I don't say that just because I was a student there, I really mean it. The school has many advantages such as a small student body (~170), highly skilled and knowledgable teachers, and a group of excellent students most of which are ready to learn. The source of these attributes comes the unique nature of Pinawa itself. The town was created to support the employees of a AECL research lab (Whiteshell Labs). Most of the student's parents have university education, and many are Ph. Ds. These factors increased the academic strength of the school through the students. Add to that a group of excellent teachers and you have a impressive combination. This was demonstrated as the Reach for the Top team from Pinawa to part in the national level. They placed 5th over all, but it should be noted that all the other school in the national competition had huge populations in the order of thousands to tens of thousands of students apposed to Pinawa 170 some student body. I am very proud to be educated in such an excellent enivronment.

As for myself I excelled in math and science getting low a 90s average in my later years (and I assure you a Pinawa 90s means more than the average 90s average). I took all the computer science I could at the school. Though the CS program is very under developed i managed to learn a lot and keep my average high. I also took all the advanced math courses I could to perpare me for enterence into Waterloo. As a SIP(Student Initated Project) I designed two courses Japanese even though I had very limited resources (like someone who spoke Japanese).

In my spare time I in my later years was the school DJ for dances. With the help of others and also working on my own I created various dances using my unique blend of musical selection and technological know how. You can learn more about those projects on my special projects page. For physical activity I also curled, skiied and did some sailing.

During these years I often took a trip onto the city of Winnipeg on the weekends to learn about kung-fu at the Wu-Ti school. For a period of time I took a recorind engineering course in the city at Sunshine Record.

    Early Years

At my present stage of life the details of my early year of education are not important directly. Of course they built the fundimental base on which other skills developed, but a detailed discussion here would not be very helpful. The only exceptional thing that occured was I was home school from grade 3 to grade 6 due to medical reason (I was sickly and had allergies to various food products). Over time my allergies relaxed and the based cause was discovered I was able to re-enter regular schooling.
