Who

Presently the group only consisting of one person. Me: Albert O'Connor. I am a student at the University of Waterloo taking a BMath in CS with the Digital Hardware Option. I am also a DJ and enjoy programming. Often I combine my interests by writing applications that help me DJ. I always interested in new way of looking at what a computer can do. I program in Java Sound and DirectX mostly, but I am always looking to expand my knowledge base, and intend to be learn until I can learn no more.

What

Right now the mission statement of the group is "Make funky audio software." I know not very specific, but seeing how the group in such a young stage, why define things. If you choose to join the group you can add or change the mission statement.

Where

During the exciting time of my life that was my first work term I (Albert O'Connor) started writing some Java programs using the at the time new Java 2 1.3 Sound API. I made a body of software and called the group PSS (for Phat Sound System). I then moved on to some DirectX. In this case though I developed some objects, I wasn't really making app but still wanted to post some infromation and resources, so I created this homepage. Beyond posting such information I thought I extend the open source style invitation to anyone on the net who might want to do some quality audio programming.
